Direct carry
A truck stops near the door and the carry is short and level. The standard crew of two movers and one truck moves the home efficiently.
Long drive or a long carry
A long driveway, a small-truck-only street, or a slope down to the door. We add a mover, so the day still runs to time.
Waterfront carry
A waterfront door below the street, steps to the water, or no truck access at all. Everything is carried up to a truck parked on the street, with a larger crew and more time.

Why does a waterfront block cost more than a flat street?
Carrying a loaded fridge or a lounge down to a below-road home and back up empty is slower and harder on the crew than the same carry on the flat. Waterfront blocks with steps to the door are the most demanding move on the lake, which is why we plan them carefully rather than guess on the day.
What if a truck genuinely cannot get near my home?
That is common on the narrow lake-edge lanes and the steep waterfront blocks. We park a truck where it is legal up on the street and carry your belongings to it with extra hands. The planner flags this so it is costed up front, not discovered on moving day.
